Luke 13:10-13 KJV
“And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”
Today, we will continue our discussion of the woman Jesus healed, who was bound for 18 years. As we saw preveously, the woman could in no way lift herself up. She had no strength. She had an infirmity which ment she was unable to produce results. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him. That is what I want to focus on today.
There were many people in that synagogue that day, but Jesus saw her. This woman had been in that synagogue with that condition for many years. I think she felt like she was unseen. She probably sat in services wondering if God even cared. She was thinking, does God hear my prayers, or see my pain? There are many good people today who are in that exact place in their Christian walk. But Jesus answered that question, He saw her and called her to himself.
The word “saw” does not mean to just see something with your natural eyes. It means to perceive and know by the Spirit. As Jesus was teaching, Holy Spirit revealed to Him through a word of knowledge, and a word of wisdom, exactly what this woman was going through. By faith, Jesus called her to Him and ministered to her. As a result, she was delivered and set free.
You might be experiencing a debilitating disease or something that is keeping you in bondage. God sees your pain, your hurt and is setting you free right now. This is your day to walk free from all that is holding you back through Christ.
Say this prayer with me, Jesus thank you for taking all sickness, disease and pain for me on the cross. I choose to believe and trust in your provision and grace. I am not moved by any symptoms that are contrary to your word and I declare that in the Name of Jesus, I am free from all bondage and am made whole right now through faith. Thank you Father for delivering me and setting me free.
Blessings
