Luke 13:13 KJV
“And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”
I believe there are many people who are struggling, feeling stuck, just tired of fighting and not seeing any results. If that is you, be of good cheer, God loves you! He sent Jesus in our stead to free us and make us whole. Your day of Salvation is today, it is right now.
I have been talking about immediate results. Immediate means, “acting without the intervention of another cause or means; producing its effect by its own direct agency. Instantly; at the present time; without delay, or the intervention of time.”
God has not set up a delay button when answering our needs. There is no “coming soon” clause in our covenant. I know you are saying, “Then why am I not getting results smarty pants?” I believe one main reason is, we need to change our thinking. The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7, “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.” Here the Hebrew word for think is “gatekeeper.” Our thoughts are the gateway into our heart. Our heart is where the very source of life flows from. So what we think and meditate on is key to bringing success into our lives and the manifestation of the things we are believing God for.
So our thought life is the key to walking in the next level God has prepared for us.
Isaiah 55:7-9 NIV says,
“Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 GW, says,
“But as Scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, especially the deep things of God.”
Issaiah 55:7, says “Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.” We see in this verse that their thoughts were the gateway to receiving from God. Their thoughts were hindering them from living in the supernatural power of God. Our minds must be renewed as Paul wrote in Romans 12, so we can prove, or walk in, the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
We need to meditate on the scriptures where individuals received immediate results. This is how we can build our expectation in God’s ability to move greatly and without delay in our lives. 1 Peter 1:13, Peter instructs us to “gird up the loins of your minds.” The Passion Translation says, “prepare your hearts and minds for action!” Why? Because once again our minds and thoughts are the gateway to receiving God’s best. When our thought life lines up with God’s Word and His plan for our lives, and we speak words of faith, not words of doubt and unbelief, doors of opportunity begin to open before us.
Prepare your minds for action. Renewing our minds to the Word of God, prepares us to receive immediate results. Joshua 1:8 NIV, says,
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Meditation is letting the Word roll over in your mind over and over. It is purposely thinking on the Word throughout your day. The Easy Translation says,
“You must keep on speaking about the words of God’s law. Think about what it says, all the time. Be careful to obey it. Then you will do well, and you will win.”
By following what God instructed Joshua to do, you will become a winner in life. Think about what the Word of God says; obey it, or do it, and you will succeed.
Jesus was sensitive to the heart of God and His thoughts always lined up with the will of God. The religious leaders wanted the woman who was in bondage for 18 years to wait for another day to be delivered. But God had something else in mind. Don’t let the naysayers and unbelievers stop you from receiving from God right now. God’s will is for you to be made whole right now, without any delay.
Say this after me, “Psalm 119:112 says, ‘I have made up my mind to obey your laws forever, no matter what.’ Therefore, I bring every thought that is contrary to the Word and tries to exalt itself against God’s perfect will into subjection, and replace those negative thoughts with the Word of God. I declare according to the Word of God, body you line up with God’s perfect will which is wholeness and soundness in the Name of Jesus. I command every cell to line up with the Word of God now. I believe it, I receive it and give you all the glory and praise, in Jesus’ mighty name.”
It says in Romans 8, to be spiritually minded is life, to be carnally minded is death. Having the mind of Christ propels us into the higher places in God.
