2023 a Time of Acceleration, Restoration and Increase
As we prepare to leave 2022 in the rear view mirror, and enter 2023, I would like to encourage you with what I believe the Holy Spirit put upon my heart for this season we are entering. God is always good and He is good to you and He is good to me. Go ahead and confess that over your life. Right now before you continue on.
I understand there are still a lot of people in the world that are saying, we need to hear from God. I hear so many people asking, when is revival coming? Where are the miracles as in the days of old? When will things get better? Many need a miracle in their family, their bodies and their finances. In Matthew 9, as the people came to Jesus to hear the word and be healed it says, “When he saw the vast crowds of people, Jesus’ heart was deeply moved with compassion, because they seemed weary and helpless, like wandering sheep without a shepherd.” There are multitudes of people today that are weary, helpless and are wandering without the Great Shepherd. Many feel they have been let down by the government, their employers, family, and religion. The good news is God sees your hurt, your pain and He sent Jesus to heal you and to make you whole again.
First if that is you, don’t be discouraged, we are in the best times to be serving God. I know if we focus on what we see, hear and feel, it doesn’t always appear so bright. But as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:9 and 10, no eye has seen nor ear heard what God has prepared for His people. But he has revealed them to us by the Holy Spirit. God has prepared great things for your life in 2023, as well as all those who call on the name of the Lord.
What is the Spirit saying to me? I believe God is saying, “It’s Harvest Time, The Harvest Is Ripe!” It’s ripe right now, for as the Word says, “…today is the day of salvation!” Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” If you are thinking when the right time to receive from God is? It’s today, it’s right now. Your harvest time is now! The Word declares every promise of God is yea and amen in Christ.
Look at what God declared to Israel in Amos 9:13-15, Message Translation. It says, “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.”
Just as God spoke to Israel, I believe He is speaking to us today, that “it won’t be long now.” “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim.” We are in a time of acceleration, a supernatural move of God, where things are occurring so fast we can’t keep up. It says in that passage, “I’ll make everything right again.” God through Christ has made everything right again. I know just what you are thinking, this world isn’t right.
But as Jesus said, we who believe in Him are not of this world. Just take a minute and imagine how your life would be when everything in your life is right again. Imagine your life with every need met and still enough left over to share with others. It might seem impossible, but with God all things are possible. In Christ, God has restored everything that was stolen. Your fellowship with God, your health, your finances, your relationships and yes, Jesus declared, you have authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing by any means shall hurt you! Glory!
Amos’ message to the Northern tribes of Israel was for Israel to turn to God and receive total prosperity, spirit, soul, body, emotionally and monetarily. God wanted them to stop trusting in the world system and to trust solely in Him, the creator of Heaven and Earth, for every area of their lives. Jesus declared the same message to us; that God has provided total restoration for every area of our lives. That’s spectacular! Accept and receive by faith, what God has freely given us in Christ.
Matthew 9:35-38 TPT it says, Jesus walked throughout the region with the joyful message of God’s kingdom realm. He taught in their meeting houses, and wherever he went he demonstrated God’s power by healing every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the vast crowds of people, Jesus’ heart was deeply moved with compassion, because they seemed weary and helpless, like wandering sheep without a shepherd. He turned to his disciples and said, “The harvest is huge and ripe! But there are not enough harvesters to bring it all in. As you go, plead with the Owner of the Harvest to thrust out many more reapers to harvest his grain!”
Other translations say Jesus preached the good news of the Kingdom. This is the good news, God is not preparing for a small rinky dink harvest. He is preparing for a tsunami size harvest. God doesn’t know the meaning of the word trickle, He is always more than enough! As it says in Malachi, I will pour out a blessing you cannot contain. Why so much? So we can share. God wants us to be free to share the Gospel. In other words, no limitations, no excuses. If we don’t succeed, it will not be because God did not provide for every need and want.
Do you remember when Jesus was at the well with the Samaritan women? The disciples returned from the city and Jesus told them that the fields were ripe for harvest. “He said,
‘You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests. And it’s true. I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”
There was an acceleration then and there is an acceleration now. They did not have to wait, and neither do we, it is harvest time. I believe it is the biggest harvest the Church has ever experienced. There’s no more waiting, the harvest is ripe!
Let’s look again at Amos 9:13-15, this time in the Amplified Translation. It says, “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the one who gathers the harvest, And the one who treads the grapes [shall overtake] him who sows the seed [for the harvest continues until planting time]; When the mountains will drip sweet wine And all the hills shall melt [that is, everything that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing].
I like that. “Behold the days are coming.” The days are coming for a great harvest of souls. The days are also coming for great blessing, restoration and increase in your life. They have not already come and gone. That’s great news. That means you haven’t missed it. God has more planned for this generation, and God has more planned for you! There is still time to get in on this final harvest. Yes, I mean you! Things might appear hopeless, but all believers have something to look forward to. God has better days still to come. And you’re included. The best days are still in front of us, not behind us. THE HARVEST IS RIPE, AND THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL!
The last sentence says, “…everything that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing.” I don’t know about you, but there was a whole lot of barrenness going on the past few years. But the good news is all that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing. Let’s begin to believe and confess that streams of blessing will overflow in our lives. Think about that, we have seen the blessing of God in our lives in a measure, but now we are entering into streams of blessing. Overflow everywhere we go. Too much to handle. Everywhere we look and everywhere we go blessing, harvest, miracles, signs and wonders.
Jesus told the disciples to “wake up and look around. The harvest is already ripe.” I believe Jesus is instructing His followers to do the same today. We must wake up and begin to look around for God’s blessing. The harvest is already ripe. Ripe for souls coming into the Kingdom. Ripe for a harvest of restoration; spirit, soul and body! We have a tendency to look at our problems, our bank accounts, our resources, our inabilities and lack, but Jesus wants us to begin to look around at the harvest. Get your eyes off your problems and look at the harvest. Or you could say, the answer to what you need is already here. The answer is in the Word. God has provided everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.
God is pouring water on the thirsty, and streams, not a trickle, not just enough, but streams on dry ground. That’s a continuous supply. Dryness is to be barren, the inability to produce results. When things are dry, there is no life around. There is not much going on. But when water flows, or overflows, life returns. Things begin to grow. Expectations begin to arise. How about you? Has the love for God’s Word dried up in your life? Do you find yourself dry and in need of more life?
Look at what Jesus said in John 7, “God will cause streams of water to pour out from anyone who believes in me. Water that gives life will come out from inside that person.”
Begin to receive those streams of blessing in your lives. I believe this year is the beginning of the harvest! God is accelerating the time between sowing and harvesting. God is restoring everything that is yours in Christ and bringing increase in your lives so we can share the gospel with the lost. You might be thinking, is this for me? As Peter said in Acts 2, “For God’s promise was made to you and your children, and to all who are far away—all whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
You might be sitting there thinking, I just feel so far away. Well glory to God, the Word says you’re included. Who is called? Everyone who believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That is you and that is me.
This is our harvest time. Now we must put the sickle in and bring in the harvest. The hour has come; receive provision, healing, wholeness and soundness for every area of your life. It is a huge harvest. It’s Overflowing!
Don’t let that bad report you received, or symptoms in your body or symptoms in the bodies of your loved ones that are contrary to the Word of God get you distracted. Begin to build your expectation on the Word of God and He will reveal His plan for acceleration, restoration and increase in your life. Jesus said those who hear His word and apply them to their lives, will build their lives on the rock, and when the storms of life come they will not fall.
Through Christ, God will make everything right in your life again and streams of blessing will overflow in your life and the lives of your families.
In Isaiah 44, God tells us that He was going to pour out His Spirit on their offspring and the blessing upon their descendants. That is us. In Christ we have become heirs of the promise. Hallelujah! Therefore the blessing is ours.
Galatians 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
There it is, the Holy Spirit being poured out and the blessing!
Remember, God is saying your harvest is already ripe. The right time for you to experience the blessings of God in your life is now. As we enter a new year and season of our lives, begin by putting the Good News of the Kingdom into your hearts and take authority over your life by continuously speaking His precious promises over you and the lives of your loved ones. It’s time for us to stop looking to the world to make things right again.
Turn and look solely to God and His Word for the answer. First build your expectation on God’s Word, then release your faith and reap God’s abundant harvest for your life.
Mara and I are standing in agreement with you. We believe that the streams of blessing will overflow, and you will receive wholeness and soundness in every area of your life as you reap your harvest. We believe this upcoming year will be a year of supernatural acceleration, restoration and increase.
Always Remember, Jesus Christ loves you and He died and rose again to save all who will believe and receive Him. Let’s give thanks always, for God is good and He is faithful over His Word to perform it in our lives.
Blessings,
Jerry and Mara Kitchell
